1. POPIA principles
HedgeScape seeks to apply accountability, processing limitation, purpose specification, limits on further processing, information quality, openness, security safeguards and data-subject participation when handling personal information.
2. Purpose and lawful basis
Information is processed where necessary to take steps at your request, perform or manage a quotation or contract, meet legal obligations, protect legitimate business and customer interests, or where you have consented. HedgeScape will not intentionally use information for an incompatible purpose without an appropriate legal basis.
3. Information supplied voluntarily
When you send photographs, addresses, measurements or details about another person or property, please make sure you are authorised to share that information. Avoid sending unnecessary identity, financial or sensitive personal information through ordinary messaging channels.
4. Access, correction, objection and deletion
Requests may be sent to karen@hedgescape.co.za. HedgeScape may need to verify your identity before releasing or changing records. Requests will be considered subject to POPIA, PAIA and other applicable record-retention duties.
5. Security incidents
If HedgeScape has reasonable grounds to believe personal information has been accessed or acquired by an unauthorised person, it will assess the incident and take steps required by applicable law, which may include notification to the Information Regulator and affected data subjects.
6. Complaints
Please contact HedgeScape first so the concern can be investigated. You may also approach the Information Regulator (South Africa) using its official complaint and support channels.
